Jami'yyatul Ulama Canada meeting resolutions (June 2005)

The Jami'yyatul Ulama Canada (CCMT) hosted a general body meeting with its members on June 05, 2005 in Toronto, Canada. Ulama from different regions of Canada participated in the gathering. The meeting concluded with the following unanimous resolutions:

Sincere Condolences

• The Jami’yyatul Ulama Canada (CCMT) declares its heartful condolences upon the demise of the great Shaikh Moulana Abrarul Haq Sb. r.a. (Hardoi, India). The Shaikh was the final lantern from the Ashrafiah chain who spent his entire life in bringing to life goodness/sunnahs and eradicating evil. The Shaikh also established maktabs (Islamic schools) throughout the country (India) for the preservation of correct Quranic teachings, which became an exemplary model of great service of deen. Along side of the above, the Shaikh also rendered the work of rectification and self reformation in the best possible manner according to the technique of his mentor Hakeemul Ummah. Thousands of the servants of Allah took the oath of allegiance to him and rendered their rectification. Upon the demise of such a luminary, the whole ummah is at a loss. May Almighty Allah accept his great services and cause them to elevate his status.

Atrocity Against the Holy Quran

• The Jami’yyatul Ulama Canada (CCMT) also sternly denounces the inhumane incidents of disrespect & desecration of the Holy Quran. No civilized and noble society will ever desire this dirty and disliked action. The governments of the world should bring to justice these shameful and humiliated people and prevent such behavior and activities in the future. They should also regard the desecration of the holy Quran or any holy book as a crime against all of humanity.

Humanitarian Aid

• The Jami’yyatul Ulama Canada (CCMT) appeals to the Muslims of Canada that they participate in the works of service to humanity in this country. Canadian Muslims should to the highest degree assist those organizations or associations that are involved in charitable works of helping the people who are in pain and affliction so that the muslim ummah can establish its benefit, helpfulness and humanitarian friendship.

Beware Of A Modified Islam

• The Jami’yyatul Ulama Canada (CCMT) also makes aware to the Muslims of Canada that some procured people are chanting slogans regarding “a new Islam”, “moderation inclined Islam” “modified Islam” etc. and are making efforts to misguide the ummah. Muslims are requested to make efforts to censure these undesirable activities and save the muslim society from this misguidance. Muslims should also make their children aware of the correct tenants, creed and beliefs of Islam and habituate them to be punctual with the obligatory duties of Islam.

Sincere Congratulations

• The Jami’yyatul Ulama Canada (CCMT) congratulates the Canadian Muslim Doctors & aid-workers who traveled to Indonesia and Sri Lanka and assisted those who were inflicted in the disasters and offered them the tremendous services of medicine, aid and treatment. May Almighty Allah accept their services and grant them the ability to continue.

Earnest Appeal

• The Jami’yyah also appeals to the Muslims to refrain from unnecessary extravagance, misuse and waste of wealth in weddings, rituals and functions. And rather spend this blessing of wealth which has been granted by Almighty Allah in education, correct upbringing of youth and in supporting the poor and needy.

Consumption of Halal

• The Jami’yyah requests the Imams and leaders of the mosques to encourage & display the importance to the muslim public regarding the purchase and consumption of halal meat and poultry so that the Canadian Muslims only consume Halal meat in obedience to the Almighty, throughout the entire country.
